RMHA WELCOMES BACK OUR 1996 TEAM FROM THEIR EUROPE TRIP

Message from the team:

"The long awaited, planned and anticipated trip of the 96 Rangers did not disappoint. Our travels to five different European countries (Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and Italy) provided all the experience of a lifetime. Our introduction to European hockey in our first exhibition game was fun and well matched although we tied in regulation and lost by two goals to one in a shootout.

We made it into the bronze medal game and ended up fourth overall out of eight teams participating. A respectable international performance for a single A team from a small hockey centre called Riverside.

On behalf of the ‘96 players, coaches and parents I would like to thank the Riverside Minor Hockey Association for encouraging and supporting our trip to Europe. "

- The 1996 Minor Midget Staff
