HOCKEY DAY IN CANADA - THE 12 MINUTE TOURNAMENT

Each year RMHA hosts the Houseleague Hockey Day in Canada 12-Minute Tournament for all our teams. This event is held in conjunction with the CBC's HDIC Celebration and RMHA adds a personal flair to the day by scheduling 12-minute games for all our teams starting early in the morning and running throughout the day. The fun is accentuated by the annual "Don Cherry Lookalike" contest but the day itself is all about RMHA's support of our Downtown Mission as each participant and spectator is encouraged to donate non-perishable food items for the day.

HDIC organizers, Dave Adams, Dennis Linton, Paul Susko and the 12-Minute tournament "founder" Mike Costello will once again plan this exciting day for the 2011-12 season on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11TH.

"The Windsor Downtown Mission exists to provide a place of sanctuary. In response to the mandate of the gospel we provide food for the body, nurture for the spirit and opportunities for human growth and development.

Every year the Downtown Mission relies on the generosity of the community to support our work. We actively encourage all members of the community to get involved in the fight against hunger by donating much needed food and money. Making a donation of nutritious non-perishable food items goes a long way in helping us to get food to those accessing our food bank. "

We ask that you make every attempt to donate food which is safe as well as nutritious.
