FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES

Please direct all questions regarding these opportunities to the RMHA Registrar (rmha-registrar@rmha.on.ca)

The Riverside Minor Hockey Association continues to work in partnership with the several organizations to provide assistance to those who are having financial difficulty. Some of these programs are:

  • The Pathways to Potential - This is a new initiative replacing the National Child Benefit Reinvestment Fund (NCBS). If you qualify please download and submit the application form and RMHA will process the "Pathways to Potential" application on your behalf. There will be a small co-pay fee required for all participants of this program.

  • Canadian Tire  Jump Start Program: Canadian Tire Jump Start Program: The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program works with community organizations to form local Chapters that identify and approve the children who receive support. If you would like to apply for your child to receive support, Canadian Tire Jumpstart accepts applications from eligible families twice per year: 1) the last 2 weeks in January; and 2) the last 2 weeks in July. The application process is handled through a central toll free call centre (1-877-616-6600). The family name, address and phone number and other relevant information pertaining to the recreational activity your child would like to participate in will be required and recorded at the time of your call. This information will be passed along to the local Canadian Tire Jumpstart Chapter for review. Applicants will only be contacted should they be approved or if further information is required.

  • The Randy Shuchard Bursary Fund: RMHA/Randy Schuchard Bursary: To apply for the registration assistance opportunity you can submit a request by email to RMHA at rmha_pres@rmha.on.ca. call 519-944-0100 or write to P.O.  BOX  320168424  Wyandotte St. E. Windsor  ON  N8S 2T4
